Barnabas Financial Ministry (BFM) created this program to provide the local church with a structured, comprehensive, high accountability program to insure that God’s biblical principles of finances are taught and encouraged on an on-going basis with the goal of addressing the perceived needs of the entire church population.
Annual goals and teaching schedules are developed to assure that all age groups are properly informed, educated and provided the practical tools for all areas of financial management; from young children to seniors. The financial ministry team receives ongoing encouragement and training to assure that a variety of training tools and techniques are being administered, and that the lay-counselor team is equipped to assist those requesting or needing counseling. A strong financial ministry team will also be an outreach into the community as people observe and experience the impact upon the local congregation.
BFM is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and does not sell any investment or insurance products. However, it is understood that these financial topics are a part of a comprehensive A-Z educational strategy. Carefully selected professionals from within these financial fields may be used to help teach the related biblical principles and practical knowledge needed for making wise decisions.
